Metalpress Named Best New Luxury Product at National Stationery Show

Metalpress, a patent-pending product combining the rich texture and radiance of very thin, polished solid metal designs with luxury invitations, business cards and personal correspondence, is catching the eye of invitation and graphic designers, event planners, printers and trade media in the United States and abroad.

“Its unique properties maximize the impact of a brand image and its flexibility affords designers unlimited options.”

Developed by Austin-based entrepreneur Scott Joffe, Metalpress was named Best New Luxury Product at the National Stationery Show at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in May. Joffe has received inquiries from designers and printers across the country as well as from Australia, Canada and Brazil.

“The reaction at the National Stationery show was tremendous,” Joffe said. “Designers kept thanking us for introducing a different and exciting product to the industry.”

Hugh Griffin, Vice President Marketing at BurdgeCooper New World Printing in Los Angeles, agrees.

“This is the first genuinely new graphic process in years,” he said. “Its unique properties maximize the impact of a brand image and its flexibility affords designers unlimited options.”

The light-reflecting mirror-like surface of the .1mm thick solid metal (about the thickness of 4 sheets of printer paper) “is providing designers with a completely new creative tool that gives clients a spectacular and tasteful way of announcing to their guests that their event will be one of a kind,” Joffe said. “In corporate applications, using a Metalpress Designs logo on business cards and folders conveys an immediate sense of style, luxury and attention to detail. It is particularly effective for exclusive brands, properties and businesses.”

Metalpress graphic elements are ideal for carrying a design theme across multiple event pieces to create an effective event brand and can be applied to most papers, metal, wood, plastic, lacquer, Lucite, glass and stone.

The company also has developed technology to create entire solid metal certificates for applications including donor recognition and diploma reproductions.

Creating the Metalpress product takes between two and three weeks. The per-piece cost depends on the number ordered and complexity of the design job. For pricing information, contact Metalpress at (512) 638-2701 or send an email through the website, www.metalpressdesigns.com.

Finished products are provided to the client as ready-to-apply decals for easy application, regardless of the design complexity. Metalpress can provide turnkey materials as well.
