Tucker Printers, a Consolidated Graphics, Inc. company (NYSE: CGX) with capabilities including digital printing, offset printing and packaging, announced today it has achieved G7 Master Printer status through IDEAlliance, the non-profit industry organization that develops, educates, and validates best practices in publishing and information technology. Becoming a G7 Master Printer highlights the commitment to quality, consistency and color management by the expert management and production teams at Tucker Printers.
The company has been trained to utilize the new G7 methodology and can produce a press sheet to GRACoL (General Requirements for Applications in Commercial Offset Lithography) targets within acceptable tolerances. As a G7 Master Printer, Tucker can reliably produce high-quality printing with a close visual appearance from proof to press, and press to press. To continue Master Printer status, Tucker will go through a yearly re-qualification to ensure it maintains IDEAlliance calibration and processes.
"Tucker has always been committed to the quality and satisfaction of our customers, and our status as a G7 Master Printer assures our commitment to providing them with the most accurate color and the highest quality printed products available," said Craig Reynolds, President of Tucker Printers. "Our business has become more efficient with G7 by decreasing paper waste, improving make-ready time, and reducing environmental impact."
Tucker Printers is one of 46 Consolidated Graphics companies that hold the G7 Master Printer status, giving it the most companies to hold this distinction in the world.
