In June 2011, SÜDKURIER GmbH commissioned ppi Media, a manroland subsidiary, to install its multimedia ad reservation solution AdX and, at the same time, to integrate SAP IS-M/AM. SÜDKURIER is the first customer to enter and manage its online ad orders in AdX. SAP IS-M/AM is used for billing ad orders.
One of the goals of Holger Kiessling, CIO at SÜDKURIER GmbH, is to create more transparency in the growing online segment as well as comprehensive workflow processes. The tool for this is AdX. “SAP IS-M/AM is today’s leading ad booking system in the publishing industry. This comprehensive software solution is time-consuming and complex to handle. Integrated in AdX, ad booking, too, will become an intuitive process,” says Kiessling, summing up the advantages of ppi’s solution. In addition, the salient features of AdX are a clear, multifunctional planning board and its ability to integrate additional system components. Along with SAP IS-M/AM, applications for Customer Relationship Management and the Web Content Management System can be connected to AdX. The AdServer (Dart) can also be integrated for publishing online ads. AdX combines many individual processes into one online ad workflow, thereby minimizing error sources and duplicate input.
Investment in the future
The new workflow will also change the working environment for the ad sales staff. With pricing information from the ad booking system directly integrated on the AdX user interface, the booking system can provide reliable information to customers on the cost of each banner format and on requested bookings, work out discounts and enter and place ads immediately on free days. “ppi Media’s solutions make standards even better. SAP IS-M/AM is today’s leading ad booking system. AdX is the most intelligent answer to multimedia requirements in ad sales. Together, the reservation solution and booking system will raise the current state of technology to a new level,” says Holger Kiessling. Following installation, AdX will use both the Online and Print modules, compared to only Online beforehand.
