Edwards Business Systems (EBS) and Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta) are teaming up to present the First Annual EBS Derby Day at PNC Field, home of the Scranton/Wilkes Barre Yankees. The event will take place on Saturday July 16th from 11a to 4.30p; and all proceeds benefit the Boy Scouts of America Northeast Pennsylvania Council Summer Camper Program.
“We are extremely excited and honored to plan this event to benefit such a good cause,” said Dexter Loeble, Regional Sales Manager of EBS in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. “This is the first year we’ve sponsored such a unique event like this, and we’re anticipating a great turnout. We’ve held events at PNC Field before and they have always been a great time, so we are confident that Derby Day will be too.”
Fundraising events to be held on EBS Derby Day include:
Adult Class Pinewood Derby Race:

“Planning an event like this is a lot of work, but I know it will all pay off when we’re all on the field having fun with friends,” stated Kendra Punko, Coordinator of Derby Day 2011 and Document Management Specialist at EBS in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people and do something different on the weekend. Even if guests just want to watch the derby race, the homerun derby or the fast pitch competition, they will have a great time, good food, and lots of terrific friendships.”
“Our entire organization looks forward to supporting Edwards Business Systems and the first annual EBS Derby Day to support the Boy Scouts of America Northeast Pennsylvania Council,” said Alan Nielsen, Executive Vice President, Dealer Sales and Administration, Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. “Our local marketing initiatives have consistently proven to be very effective in building brand awareness of Konica Minolta. In partnership with our friends at EBS, we aim to position EBS Derby Day as the premier family event In Northeast Pennsylvania, and hope everyone comes out to enjoy the fun.
