British Industries Printing & Packaging to Install Muller Martini Press

In order to ensure optimum finishing processes for a diverse range of printed products, British Industries Printing & Packaging Co. in Shuwaikh (Kuwait) will be putting a new printing press and a combined processing system from Muller Martini into operation at the end of this year.

The current focus for British Industries is primarily commercial printed products such as annual reports, brochures and calendars, printed using several sheet-fed offset machines, each featuring four to ten colors. The company, founded in 1993, is now expanding and diversifying to be able to print high-quality newspapers and magazines too, as well as manufacturing other heat set and cold set products. This is why British Industries has invested in a hybrid CROMOMAN printing press from MAN Roland, which offers a solution for any configuration, ranging from 4/4-color printing on one web or 2/2-color printing on two webs, to 1/1-color printing on four webs.

In order to ensure optimum finishing for this diverse range of printed products, British Industries has also chosen a combined press delivery system and newspaper dispatch solution from Muller Martini. This solution consists of two NewsGrip-A chains to ensure products are transported quietly and securely, as well as a Preciso high-performance rotary trimmer for reliable and precise three-sided trimming at maximum press speed. There are also two packing lines with a Listo stacker and Orgapack strapping technology to guarantee perfect packages. British Industries will put the new printing press and finishing system into operation later this year. At some point in the future, the system is also set to be expanded with an inserting machine and bundle formation equipment.
