PODi, Digital Printing Initiative

10th Annual AppForum Show for Digital Printing, January 23–25, 2012

PODi, the Digital Printing Initiative, has announced that the 2012 AppForum digital printing conference will be held January 23–25 at the newly renovated Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas. The AppForum is the longest established educational event focused on the revolutionary changes in marketing made possible by digital printing. “Every innovation begins with a spark,” says Caslon General Manager David Erlandson. “Our attendees come to AppForum for that flash of brilliance and inspired thinking. They’ll learn about new ways to win business with powerful high margin cross-media and collateral management applications, how to target specific vertical markets, and tactics to advance the effectiveness of their solution sales teams.”

“The AppForum has the best content...period. The sessions are always educational, insightful and relevant to the ever changing business climate,” says Modern Mail President, Doug Ainsworth, who has been coming to AppForum since 2008. AppForum attendance has mirrored the continued strong growth of digital marketing applications that boost ROI and drive print – up over 30% in the past 2 years. “This was my first time and I found it to be a valuable experience,” said Heather Gims, Director of Business Development for b+p+t communication solutions after the 2011 conference. “They say ‘what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas’ but in this case I’ll be taking a lot back home! I acquired great insights that prompted my own ideas and generated a strong momentum to move forward throughout the year.” Pace’s Director of Marketing Technology, Randy Marquis adds, “It’s an incredible opportunity to learn from each other in an amazingly encouraging, non-competitive environment.”

AppForum attendees enjoy one full day of Pre-Conference Intensives, along with two days of vendor-neutral learning sessions, lively unbiased panel discussions, keynotes from industry thought leaders, a uniquely open atmosphere, and the most productive networking they’ll do all year. This year’s event features powerhouse ideas for digital print with dynamic sessions on business growth strategies and application technologies, along with increased emphasis on relevant direct marketing and direct mail, more insights from corporate marketers, and exploration of emerging opportunities in digital packaging.

“AppForum continues to evolve,” says Erlandson. “We’re excited to be holding the event at the new Tropicana, which like our industry, has reinvented itself – in their case with a $180 million dollar renovation. We’re planning some exciting changes ourselves for this year’s AppForum, so it will be an all new experience for attendees.”

Sponsorship opportunities are now available. Attendees will have the chance to meet representatives from sponsoring companies, an elite group of the industry’s vanguard vendors, for quiet one-on-ones at their display tables and at several networking events. Vendors can take advantage of enhanced marketing coverage by participating at the Gold, Silver or Bronze sponsorship levels.
