Trelleborg Unveils Newest Printing Blanket

Rollin Optima, the latest printing blanket innovation from industry leader, Trelleborg, has been specifically developed to significantly improve the packaging and sheetfed printing processes.

Currently only available in the United States of America, the high performance blanket has been constructed using a new design carcass which as well as providing longevity and durability, allows the use of different substrates without comprising on quality. The surface of the new blanket is highly resilient, preventing edge cutting, embossing and swelling.

In addition, the unique solventless compressible layer within the blanket has been designed to withstand all printing stresses and is intended for use with a variety of different stocks.

While the Optima is capable of creating everything from the finest screen details to dense blocks of solid colour, the blanket has also been created for ease of use. In order to simplify all aspects of the printing process, the Trelleborg team have created the Optima for superior release and wash up.

Jerry Detert, Technical Services Representative at Trelleborg, commented: “We work hard to understand how we can improve the printing process and take usability just as seriously as print quality.

“We have ploughed a great deal of our resources into creating the technology behind the Rollin Optima and are very proud of the result. This blanket is the perfect fusion of usability and print quality.”

The Rollin Optima is a high-quality compressible printing blanket which can be easily be used in most printing presses and with the majority of conventional inks for a superb finish.
