Avanti Computer Systems Limited, a leading provider of Print MIS and Web-to-Print solutions and Ultimate Technographics Inc., the leader in imposition software and the inventor of digital imposition, are excited to launch their new partnership at Graph Expo this September. Avanti’s Print MIS is completely integrated with Ultimate Technographic’s Impostrip® OnDemand imposition software. This integration partnership allows printers to achieve zero-touch workflows from “web-to-print-to-finish”. Stop by Avanti Booth #861 at Graph Expo for a demonstration.
When a job is submitted across the web by the customer, the job is automatically created in Avanti Print MIS. Important job parameters (i.e. job description, customer info, stock, quantity, number of pages etc.) are sent by Avanti directly to Ultimate’s XML Director, where the imposition is created (with all the required elements such as dynamic barcode, marks etc.). Once imposition is completed, XML Director automatically sends the press-ready PDF to the selected press for printing. At the same time, a JDF job ticket is produced and the job parameters are sent to the selected finishing device which is automatically set up with finishing instructions.
With Avanti and Ultimate, printers can eliminate three critical workflow touch-points: 1) Avanti’s Print MIS to Ultimate’s XML Director, 2) Ultimate’s XML Director to the press equipment, 3) Press equipment to the bindery through Ultimate’s Bindery for finishing automation. Absolutely no human intervention is required and true web-to-print-to-finish capability is achieved.
Avanti provides Print MIS and Web-to-Print solutions that help print shops automate all facets of their business. In business for over 26 years, Avanti’s solutions are the most open in the industry, JDF certified, fully integrated and extend from Web-to-Print through to production and billing.
