Sign Visitations Continuing as Printers Give High Marks to Mitch Evans' "Diversifying into Signage" Program

Mitch Evans’ offering of a unique two day educational program where printers visit his sign shop Sign D’ Sign in South Carolina has received high marks from recent attendees. So far, a dozen printers from all across the United States have visited and witnessed first-hand the type of sign services and products that they can integrate into their printing operation. Each received intensive “hands on” education and training that enables their shop to seamlessly expand into the growing signage marketplace.

A digital printer from the Southeast who recently visited, said, “Thank you for all of your hospitality and insight while we were with you. We had a great time…You have a great staff that you should be very proud of”.

The program is designed to “jump-start” any printer who has considered or has plans to add signage and other wide format products & related services to their print shop.

“In talking with printers at the NAQP PrintOwners Conference and GraphExpo earlier this month, almost every printer told me that sales growth is still their biggest challenge,” according to Mitch. “My program shows each attendee how they can add $250,000 to $500,000 to their sales volume in the next 12 to 18 months just from their current customer base.”

In 1988, Mitch became one of the first printers to add sign services to his printing business. He sold out in 2001, moved south and began his consulting career. About five years later, Mitch purchased a sign business in the Hilton Head Island area of South Carolina.

Mitch and his experienced staff will give you specific knowledge in every aspect of signs including space requirements, equipment needed, the most popular sign products and services, supply/inventory needs, production and installation methods, pricing, best prospects for selling signage and employee training.

All attendees leave with a personalized Sign Business Owner’s Manual that documents all the information that a print shop owner will need to know to successfully add signage to their offerings.

Due to the initial success Mitch is continuing the program. He is now taking reservations for October through December.
