Staples, the world’s largest office products company, honored EFI with the “2010 Best Category Management – Business Services Award” at their recent Inspired Selling Symposium & Vendor Show event. One of only seven awards bestowed by Staples this year, this award is given to a supplier that has excelled at using merchandising, financial and data-based initiatives to drive category sales, margin and market share growth.
Staples recognized the powerful EFI Digital StoreFront web-to-print platform that serves as their order entry and production management system for all online and in-store print orders. In addition to Digital StoreFront, Staples has standardized on EFI Fiery technology to drive their digital color and black & white print equipment.
“Staples relies on EFI Digital StoreFront to accurately and efficiently serve as our order capture and manufacturing system for our 1,600 retail locations. This coupled with Fiery technology enable our Staples Certified Print Pros to deliver on-time and high-quality images across our extensive fleet of output devices,” said Rob Schlacter, vice president of quality and business services at Staples. “Together these technologies were key to helping Staples grow our copy and print business in 2010.”
“EFI and Staples have enjoyed a collaborative partnership for many years, and EFI is honored to receive this national recognition for the contribution our products have made to Staple’s ongoing success,” said Frank Mallozzi, senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing at EFI. “It was very inspiring to attend the awards ceremony with an audience of more than 800 vendors and retailers, and to be one of seven companies recognized in front of this impressive group.”
