The Printing Association of Florida (PAF) today announces that CONLATINGRAF, the Confederation of Latin American Printing Associations, will honor the winners of its XVIII Theobaldo de Nigris printing competition in Miami, Fla., during the annual Graphics of the Americas (GOA) show. GOA 2012 takes place March 1-3, 2012 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
The Theobaldo de Nigris printing competition started in 1991. The competition showcases the vast abilities of the printing industries of its 15 member countries. The name Theobaldo de Nigris pays homage to one of the leaders of CONLATINGRAF, a founder of the Brazilian printing association, Abigraf, who was instrumental in the integration of the Latin American printing industries.
This is the first time that the CONLATINGRAF printing awards ceremony will be held in conjunction with the coveted Graphic Arts Leaders of the America Awards celebration, and CONLATINGRAF’s spring assembly.
“The Theobaldo de Nigris awards showcase the outstanding quality of printing in Latin America. Printers in Latin America have invested in new technology over the past two years and this is reflected in the quality of printing. We are excited to host the awards,” says George Ryan, President of Printing Association of Florida.
