MeadWestvaco Corporation has announced that its Tango Advantage Digital C1S line is HP Indigo-certified. Now the entire Tango Advantage Digital offering of both C1S and C2S is HP Indigo certified, Kodak Nexpress certified, and guaranteed to run on Xerox iGen, Canon ImagePRESS and most other production volume digital presses.
The new offering shipped to MWV merchants and includes 10 and 12 pt. C1S and C2S calipers, as well as a C2S 14 pt. caliper to satisfy the demand from Indigo users for heavier cover options. The respective cover weights (20x26) for these calipers are 87 pound, 100 pound and 113 pound.
The new Tango Digital offering has the same 92 brightness and clean-white styling as the rest of the Tango Advantage portfolio. The matching shade ensures a consistent look across a print campaign whether the pieces are printed on an offset or digital press. The proprietary coating and finishing process used on the Tango stock delivers a 100# (12 pt.) Tango digital cover, and a folio equivalent, that is the exact same weight as coated free sheet cover offerings, yet it provides 80 percent greater stiffness and sturdiness.
"Tango Advantage has long been known for its outstanding print performance, but what makes our new digital offering really stand out is the sturdier feel," said Steve Anderson, MWV's senior director of marketing for its Commercial Print business. "Consumer research has demonstrated that a sturdier printed piece conveys a higher quality brand image. And enhanced sturdiness and feel was found to increase consumer purchase intent for the advertised brand."
