DG press ServiceS, internationally renowned for its meticulous service on Drent Goebel machines and distribution of Iwasaki machines has introduced its new Vision SP narrow web press with a width of 520 mm at Labelexpo.
Uniquely implemented in the Vision SP are the servo-motor driven impression cylinders that are separately driven from the plate and blanket cylinders. Web tension between the printing units is arranged in such a way that even printing on thin foils results in 100% register printing. Thus high quality printing on all kinds of films like polypropylene, polyester, nylon, aluminum and laminates is supported. An interchangeable two cylinder cassette system enables variable cut-off.
“At Labelexpo we registered a high degree of interest from the visitors”, says Peter Kloppers, Director of DG press ServiceS. “So much so, that we are now planning to introduce the Vision SP also in 850 mm width. Especially, features such as coating and white printing units for printing on transparent or aluminum foil that can be placed anywhere in the press are in demand. In addition, the possibility to upgrade current Vision presses has drawn the attention of many printers towards our solutions.”
Predictability of quality, efficiency and fast job format changes are considered significant advantages in package printing. The Vision SP fulfills all these requirements and it only takes a couple of meters to establish colour and register. “Printers will achieve attractive profit margins as our Vision SP is priced very competitively for a very attractive ROI”, explains Peter Kloppers. “The modular concept suits many printers that are looking for cost-effective high quality press solutions that enhance their workflow and profits. The possibility to add digital printing units for variable data as well as different drying technologies and label finishing capabilities intrigues the industry participants.”
DG press ServiceS also distributes the range of intermittent offset presses, letterpresses and finishing solutions from Iwasaki, that could be found at the Japanese manufacturer’s booth where much interest has been generated. “Our regional distribution in Benelux, Scandinavia, UK and Germany has been overwhelmed at the amount of enquiries for sustainable and high quality solutions from Iwasaki”, states Peter Kloppers.
