The team at Signs Now Fort Myers strives to keep positive community involvement among the core values of their business. When they were approached by the Brotherhood Ride four years ago, owner Mark Kausalik did not hesitate to become a sponsor for the organization. Over the last several years, Signs Now has donated magnets, graphics and banners to the organization. And in honor of the 10th anniversary of September 11, the Brotherhood Ride traveled to Ground Zero in New York City with a newly-wrapped trailer from Signs Now.
"Signs Now was with us when we first started out four years ago," said Brotherhood Ride founder and President Jeff Morse. "They do amazing work for our organization, and with their and our sponsors' help, we raised over $116,000 over the last four years, all donated straight to the families of those who have lost their lives in public service."
Formed in 2007, the Brotherhood Ride is comprised of firefighters, law enforcement officers and emergency medical personnel who ride bicycles to raise awareness and provide financial and emotional support to honor our fallen public safety heroes.
"The commitment that these first responders make to this cause is unbelievable," said Signs Now owner Mark Kausalik. "Those that can ride use their vacation time and endure a three-week ride, risking injury, loss of wages, and not to mention the dangers of riding out in the elements."
This year's 4th Annual Brotherhood Ride was dedicated to the 411 fallen heroes on the 10th anniversary of September 11th. The riders traveled over 1600 miles in 22 days, beginning in North Naples, Fla. on Aug. 20, 2011 and ended at Ground Zero in New York on Sept. 10, 2011. "I am in awe of their spirit and the selfless dedication that each one of them makes to do this," said Kausalik. "The entire team at Signs Now is proud to be involved with such a fantastic organization.
