CIP4 Launches New JDF Bulletin Online

The International Cooperation for the Integration of the Processes in Prepress, Press and Postpress (CIP4) organization announced the February launch of a new "web version" of the JDF Bulletin, enabling CIP4 to keep members, potential members and news media better informed on current developments within the CIP4 Organization, work done by the CIP4 Working Groups and JDF integration among member companies worldwide. News announcements will appear on the CIP4 website, and be able to be updated in a more timely manner, with news digests delivered on a monthly basis. In its new format, the JDF Bulletin will provide "news on demand" to encourage greater interest in CIP4 membership and collaboration in the industry.

CIP4's first issue will focus on "Strategizing for drupa," with program and event logistics information for drupa, starting with the Spring Interop (scheduled for March 12-16, 2012) and leading up to the Print Automation Park, Print Automation Live! and CIPPI Awards events at drupa. In the ensuing months, the JDF Bulletin editorial team led by CIP4 Executive Director Jim Harvey, Barbara McGowan and Stefan Daun will continue with regular columns that will focus on news about Working Groups, member company integrations, software tools and upcoming events. The JDF Bulletin will feature interviews with key JDF players and recently published books, articles, white papers and case studies. It will also include news from member companies.

Submission of JDF news and product release information is considered a CIP4 membership benefit, and all CIP4 members are invited to contribute. All content will be reviewed by the JDF Bulletin editorial team prior to publication. Submissions may be sent to Barbara McGowan at b2marketing.barb@gmail.com.

The new online version of the JDF Bulletin, designed by B2 Marketing, replaces the previous email version published bimonthly since October 2008.
