ErgoSoft and Tucanna Offer Workflow Solution

ErgoSoft and Tucanna will be presenting a complete and fully automated workflow solution at Drupa 2012. From Job Submission to preflight, Color Management, and through Ripping, this collaboration results in a truly automated workflow. The system is based on Tucanna’s tFlow and ErgoSoft RIP V14.1. tFlow was introduced to the market at the beginning of 2012, and since then has been very well received. It is a client/server solution which runs on MacOSX and Windows allowing for cross platform integration, and includes all tools for workflow optimization and automation.

“We are pleased to collaborate with Tucanna to provide a very innovative, complete, and flexible workflow solution to meet customer needs” said Hans Peter Tobler CEO of ErgoSoft. “Our customers have been asking for such a solution for quite some time. The combination of high quality color management and preflighting tools, as well as the “ease of use” strategy of Tucanna allowed our users to build a scalable and fully configurable workflow to meet their growing needs. Using <delta> Automation by ErgoSoft, it is possible to process the fully preflighted and color managed PDFs. The results of our testing and the attractiveness of the combined solution convinced us to start the relationship and to present the solution to our customers and potential dealers at Drupa.”

“The dynamic XML HotFolder based technology from ErgoSoft makes the communication between tFlow and ErgoSoft RIP Solutions an optimal solution for print service providers and printers”, says Jawdatt Mawassii, Responsible for Business Development & Strategy of Tucanna. “Tucanna is coming from the commercial printing industry and has already developed tools for standardization. Based on the growing demand for standardization and automation in the digital printing market, the relationship to RIPs and printer manufacturers helped us to design an innovative workflow solution from scratch, rather than have to build upon expensive, inflexible, and complicated legacy solutions.”

tFlow can be used with multiple printers, in so-called hybrid printing environments (commercial and digital), and additionally, users of Indigo, iGen, agencies, and prepress companies can modernize the means of collaboration with their customers. Ease of use, high quality color management tools, 100 percent Adobe Acrobat compatible preflighting and Internet-ready technology makes it the “state of the art” in workflow solutions.
