Mimaki Appoints Hisayuki Kobayashi as New President

At the Board of Directors' meeting held on April 11, 2012, Mimaki has decided upon a staff reassignment.

Mimaki Engineering Co., Ltd. has advanced globalization in recent years, including the improvement of the sales promotion system in the emerging countries. In order to ensure instant offering of the products to these strong growth markets and the expected settlement of a strong yen, Mimaki aims at strengthening its marketing, cost competitiveness and production systems in the emerging countries. Mimaki will also continue to focus on the further reinforcement of the management base by delegating authority to the top of its development and production section.

Kobayashi, current Executive Vice-President of Mimaki, will therefore be appointed as new President of Mimaki, upon the retirement of Mikio Noguchi, current President of Mimaki, expected late June 2012.
