Thousands of information technology (IT) professionals, B-to-B and B-to-C publishers, print and marketing service providers, advertising professionals and marketers were in attendance at this year's co-located info360, ON DEMAND and SoMoLo. The events took place at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City from June 13-14.
ON DEMAND addresses the business of content and info360 explores the ever changing information management lifecycle by exploring the convergence of technologies in today's increasing social, mobile and cloud-based enterprise IT environments. Together, the independent shows address the challenges and opportunities associated with the exploding social, digital media platforms, including the need to securely join data streams, connect mobile devices to established networks and boost operational efficiency.
"We came to ON DEMAND to see what was new in the industry," said Ron Bauman, Director of Business Development, Aliogistics. "I was looking specifically for cross-media and integrated marketing solutions and found the hand labor tracking software for printed mail to be very interesting."
Besides showcasing a range of content management innovations, the event offered attendees access to an investor pitch showdown by Ultra Light Startups and a robust conference program featuring dozens of sessions dedicated to content creation, management and storage, advanced marketing tools and strategies and the integration of social, mobile and local digital platforms. Keynote speakers from Box, salesforce.com and Yammer lead a 70+ session conference program and the debut of SoMoLo@NY provided a series of conference sessions covering the increasingly complex supply chain needs and hurdles that companies face as they try to ensure security, profitability and manage information across multiple channels.
"I was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with info360 and co-locate the June Ultra Light Startups Investor Pitch Showdown! The conference was extremely professionally organized and everything ran very smoothly. Everyone I spoke with enjoyed the event very much." Graham Lawlor, Ultra Light Startups.
"This year's show was educational, interactive, and provided lots of vendor interaction and opportunities for networking," said James Mullin, National Operations Manager, Oce Business Services. "The sessions were relevant, topical, interactive, and well worth the time to attend. I'm definitely looking forward to next year's show."
In the Spring of 2013, Content ON DEMAND will launch as a two-day sponsored conference focusing on the lifecycle of content from consumption through delivery. It will offer publishers, marketing and print service providers, social media strategists, developers and C-level executives with access to in-depth conference programming, a Technology Solutions Showcase and multiple networking opportunities. Specific details for Content ON DEMAND will be announced shortly.
"The IT, publishing, and advertising/marketing industries increasingly tackle the same challenges related to the evolution of media platforms," said Wendy Loew, group show director, Questex Media Group, the sponsor and producer of both shows. "As info360 and ON DEMAND each evolve to meet the needs of attendees, they're organically converging."
