Choosing the optimum blanket solution for any application is now quicker and easier, thanks to Trelleborg’s new selection guide for its innovative Rollin, Vulcan and NAPPdeco range of printing blankets. Trelleborg Printing Solutions released the guide at Drupa 2012, the international print media fair held in May in Dusseldorf, Germany.
“Specifying the incorrect printing blanket can impact everything – print quality, cost, wastage, efficiency and even carbon footprint,” said Trelleborg Printing Solutions President Thomas Linkenheil. “Our new selection guide provides all the information and tools our customers need to make the right blanket selection for their application – then our sales and operations teams are on hand to offer support and take care of the rest.”
Trelleborg’s Rollin printing blankets are able to print on a variety of surfaces and offer industry-leading smash resistance. The Rollin UV-E is a sheetfed product for UV printing with excellent smash resistance and print quality, especially where solids and ink release are concerned. It can print on various substrates besides paper – SBS boards, coated and uncoated; Mylar; plastics, 8-20 point; Hiflex stock; and foil stamped.
Trelleborg’s range of Vulcan blankets delivers consistent high quality over a long lifetime and helps address key issues – such as energy consumption and feeding properties – faced by those using new high-speed printing presses in the web market.
In particular, Trelleborg’s Vulcan Alto Plus was designed for use on high-speed heatset web offset presses and is a stable, versatile blanket that performs across a wide range of applications. Constructed with low-stretch fabrics to form a highly stable carcass, the blanket has a robust resistance against smashes and sinking.
The selection guide was printed using various value-added aspects, and it is worthwhile to request the printed version just for the print experience.
