PrintCity Alliance members participate in seventh Balkan Print Forum in Sofia, Bulgaria

The Seventh Balkan Print Forum being held in Sofia, Bulgaria, October 18-19, 2012 at the Inter Expo Center is being supported by PrintCity Alliance members manroland sheetfed, manroland web systems, Océ, Baumüller, Kurz, Procemex, Sappi and UPM. The event is hosted by the Printing Industry Union of Bulgaria, manroland Bulgaria and the Bulgarian printing company Billboard JSC.

The focus of the Seventh Balkan Print Forum is: Higher quality, profitability and competitiveness of print products. 160 people are expected, including managers, specialists and experts from members of the Balkan Print Forum national associations.

The main targets of the Balkan Print Forum are to share experiences and know-how, to initiate and intensify contacts, to support joint projects in the Balkan region. Member countries of the Balkan Print Forum are Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Greece, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey. Partners of the Balkan Print forum are Print Media Associations and Universities from Austria, Belgium, Germany, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, Turkmenistan and Ukraine, plus the PrintCity Alliance.

The annual meeting is one of the main activities of the Balkan Print Forum, at which the participating companies are given the possibility for presentations, discussions and the exchange of information and know-how in the field of modern print technology.

On October 19, Balkan Print Forum attendees will visit the printing company Billboard JSC in the morning.

At the Second InPEQ meeting within the Balkan Print Forum representatives from European High Schools and Universities will exchange information under the motto: “Improving Printers' Education and Qualification”.
