Contex has announced that PeopleDocs utilizes Contex wide-format scanners exclusively for its document management solution, DocIMS. Launched in 2008, DocIMS is a cost-effective tool used for locating, viewing, and printing engineering drawings, scanned images, and related documents on desktops, tablets and smart phones. PeopleDocs relies on Contex's most advanced wide-format scanner, the HD Ultra, to import hard copy, large-format documents into the software, ensuring that valuable content from engineering drawings and maps, along with other wide format documents, are easily accessible.
"Most companies have a combination of recent and archived documents in hard copy, packed away somewhere, so the Contex HD Ultra series wide format scanner lets users easily scan them into the system," comments Sean Eikenbery, owner, PeopleDocs LLC. "Our customers are very happy with their solution."
"Contex scanners are the ideal choice for companies that require consistent, high-quality images," comments Steve Blanken, General Manager, Contex Americas. "PeopleDocs users are rest assured that they are generating the most accurate digital representation of their hard copy documents."
The Contex HD Ultra wide-format scanner series is equipped with CCD imaging, archiving, and productivity-boosting features. This ensures best-in-class image quality, with 1200 optical resolution, and the fastest and most efficient way to scan, copy, file, and archive wide-format images, drawings, documents and records. Built for productivity, the HD Ultra is able to scan three times as many documents as any other scanner, and scans documents up to 42-inches wide.
Additionally, DocIMS customers use the wide-format scanning solution to make copies of scanned images. For these scenarios, Contex's MFP solutions offer the convenience of a touch screen. Being able to call up drawings from a desktop, tablet or smart phone versus hard copy offers a tremendous boost to productivity and, ultimately, saves customers valuable time.
