With its streamlined, standardized solutions for publishers, printers and corporate publishing, the Hamburg-based software supplier ppi Media offers highly automated, 360° production workflows for Print, Online, Mobile and Tablet. ppi Media also takes its customers’ customers into account by developing software which, for instance, allows publishers and printers to offer their customers more services. ppi Media will present these solutions at Stand 180 at the World Publishing Expo in Frankfurt from October 29-31, 2012.
Content is King. And the Customer is also King. For publishing companies, both content and the customer are of major economic significance. At the World Publishing Expo, ppi Media will therefore be presenting software which combines both: content and end customers. Its ad solution AdX enables users to book and enter ads for all media channels on a simple GUI. This allows a publisher’s ad customers to work in different media channels. As a central contact, the publisher can fulfill all his customer’s requirements for all media channels in one order. Or take Content-X. This editorial solution is media-neutral and converts texts individually and automatically for all channels. Editors and freelance employees can upload special elements and photos into the system from anywhere and then make them available for publishing. ppi Media pursues this idea with OM portal as well. This OM add-on enables printers to incorporate its customers actively in the individual worksteps from ordering to printing. Customers upload their data themselves, release their orders and can view their production state any time.
Classic and individual solutions and digital natives
In the past few years, ppi Media has closely scrutinized the media industry and developed software in which all media channels can be centrally operated, which offers a practical payment model for digital products and which, apart from its functionality, excels through standardization, responsive web design and fair prices. ppi Media will present its 360° modules in detail at the World Publishing Expo. This includes AdX, Content-X and OM portal, but also mediaPreflight, a solution for checking ads and videos in the formats required for the different output channels, as well as the mobile platform moboom with responsive design. “With our highly-automated solutions, we provide publishers with the foundation for a secure, effective and streamlined production workflow. Our new modules build a bridge between the established world of print and the online departments which, very often, are still very isolated,” says Norbert Ohl, COO of ppi Media. Apart from its new products, ppi Media will also be presenting its classic solutions such as PlanPag, its planning and production software for newspapers and magazines, or OM, its output management software.
