Craftsmen Industries has committed to significantly invest in new wide-format (126 inch) digital printing equipment utilizing proven and environmentally friendly, latex media technology. Latex printing will fuel Craftsmen’s Print Division’s already robust print capabilities (up to 16 feet wide) by introducing new products and expanding into ancillary markets. Craftsmen will be able to print fabric, vinyl, and vehicle graphics at resolutions near photographic quality. An additional investment in UV, flatbed technology, will enable Craftsmen to print to ridged substrates.
“This investment will deliver our national and local customer’s additional printing and display options that are not widely available,” stated Alberto Shaio, CEO and President of Craftsmen Industries. “Additionally, the new equipment will provide a green alternative while at the same time delivering higher resolutions and extending product offerings,” concluded Mr. Shaio.
The new equipment and Latex media will especially meet the needs of corporations, architects, and environmental designers. New products such as custom printed shades, wall décor and creative signage will appeal to a new segment of customers as will new substrates and printing technologies. Vehicle graphics will remain an important capability, with plans to also grow that segment of the business utilizing the new investment in Latex technology. Cherie Simmons, business manager, heads up Craftsmen’s Graphics Division.
Craftsmen Industries Graphic Division services both large national corporations and local businesses with vehicle graphics and installation, design, banners, point of sale graphics and environmental graphics.
