Custom Extrusion Technologies (CET Films) has appointed Steve Zagami Director of Sales and Marketing. In his new position, he will provide CET Films with sales leadership and product management experience in the extruded films market.
Zagami comes to CET Films from a manufacturer of Point-Of-Purchase displays, food and beverage equipment and lighting systems, where he was Sales Director. There he managed business development programs which opened new markets for the company.
Working as a product manager for blown and extruded plastic film manufacturers, Zagami developed several new products with applications in the Point-Of-Purchase, Medical, Electronics, Sign and Screen Print markets. He also instituted sales and marketing initiatives, which established distribution in Europe and Australia.
In a sales and marketing role, Zagami was instrumental in developing campaigns, which secured new nationwide accounts and substantially increased revenues.
“Steve’s many years of experience in plastics and metalized specialty films is a perfect fit with our operations at our Lakewood plant,” says Bud Philbrook, President and CEO for IGI. "We are as excited to have him aboard as he is to join us. He will play an important role in helping us grow by expanding into new markets, such as the security card field.”
In 1990 Zagami graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Music degree. From 1990 to 2001, he played with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, in Buffalo, NY as a percussionist. In addition to music, Steve’s other interests include watercolor painting, motorcycling and golf. He currently lives in Fair Lawn, NJ.
