Epic Litho Announces the Installation of Komori’s Lithrone G40; First Company in the Mid-Atlantic to Offer Its Advanced Printing Capabilities
Epic Litho installs this state of the art press, offering customers an efficient and green printing option
Epic Litho, an award-winning printing and packaging service provider, has announced the installation of the Komori Lithrone G40 at its headquarters in Phoenixville, Pa. This installation makes Epic Litho the first company in the mid-Atlantic region to offer the high-performance press, further separating the firm from its competition. Komori’s Lithrone G40 is highly efficient, as well environmentally conscious, allowing Epic Litho to continue offering its customers innovative services and superior printing capabilities.
Komori’s Lithrone G40 has a maximum printing speed of 15,000 sheets per hour, making it one of the fastest commercial printers available in the market. The state-of-the-art 40-inch offset press includes an automatic plate process using a benderless clamp, which eliminates the need to bend plates and ultimately makes the machine more efficient. The press also includes an H-UV curing system that allows for a shortened printing and drying time without sacrificing high quality.
“I am thrilled to announce the installation of Komori’s Lithrone G40 press and to offer our customers such a distinctive and outstanding service,” said Jim Rowland, president of Epic Litho. “This press will further provide our valued clients with the newest and most innovative printing options on the market today. In addition to the high quality printing produced by the Lithrone, we were also drawn to its ‘green’ factor. With traditional presses producing more than 3,000 pounds of VOC’s and HAP’s each year, the Lithrone G40 produces zero. We are excited to utilize this sustainable technology and to create premium, environmentally-friendly prints both quickly and efficiently. “
Komori’s Lithrone G40 is part of Komori’s “G” series, which focuses on environmentally conscious technology. Epic Litho has a continued commitment to environmental sustainability, ranging from UV printing, digital printing technology, to being certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. The installation of the Komori Lithrone G40 is just another proactive step Epic Litho is taking to become more environmentally conscious.
