UK laminator manufacturer Autobond (Hall 6 Stand 6320) pulled in the crowds at Druck+Form 2012 (Sinsheim, Germany) as it showcased its innovative spot UV technology. The annual German Graphics exhibition was Autobond’s second trade show in Germany in 2012 and visitors to the stand saw the Mini 76 TPH laminator running in-line with the 52 SUV. The UK company’s appearance at the exhibition signaled its continued dedication to meeting the high demand for lamination from the German market and the rest of the world, while demonstrating spot UV varnishing as an affordable and excitable means to add value.
Supported by its newly appointed German agent Binderhaus Gmbh & Co. Kg, Autobond is well placed and equipped to serve the German market. The popular Mini 76 TPH thermal thin film laminator can handle formats of up to 76 x 102 cm and is equipped with a Heidelberg Speedmaster 74 feed head, enabling it to produce up to 60 meters per minute. Commercial printers who have previously been put off by size of laminators will be encouraged by its compact 2.9m x 1.5m footprint. Running it in-line with the 52 SUV with the laminator’s perfector qualities enables two sided lamination and spot UV varnishing in one pass.
Michael Jellinghaus of Binderhaus explains Autobond’s growing appeal in Germany: “Since this year’s drupa, the interest in Autobond machinery from across the world has increased dramatically – no more so than in Germany. The general consensus in this country is that Autobond offers high quality machines that are powerful, reliable and give fantastic return on investment. These are three qualities that appeal strongly to the German customer.”
Jellinghaus continues: “The Mini 76 TPH represents all the qualities that have seen Autobond become a world-leader in the production of sheet-fed laminators, while the 52 SUV points to the vast potential of spot UV varnishing and how to add value to create a premium end product. With Autobond now able to support customers from within Germany – in Stuttgart – we can offer crucial support to the end-user more directly and easily. We have received many leads at this show that we fully anticipate will turn into sales in the coming months.”
John Gilmore, Managing Director of Autobond, adds: “The German market is an important one for us. There’s so much interest and potential there and we’re driven to meet these opportunities head on and to the best of our capabilities, in terms of machine quality and customer service. Druck+Form is a great show that pulls in a wide range of printers from all over the German graphic industry. Our machines enable them to offer enhanced print at the value and durability that they are accustomed to.”
