Xaar Recruits China Glaze as First Ceramics Ink Partner in Asia

Xaar, the leader in digital ceramic printing technology, is pleased to announce that China Glaze Company Ltd, Taiwan, has been recruited as its first Asian Ink Partner with specific focus on the ceramics sector. Xaar is now working closely with China Glaze to optimise the performance of its digital ceramic inks with the Xaar 1001 printhead.

China Glaze Company is part of the China Glaze Group and one of Asia’s largest producers of ceramic colours, glazes and frits for the ceramic industry. The $200 million turnover company has been supplying the ceramics market for over 40 years and today employs 800 people across its five production facilities in China, Taiwan and Indonesia.

“The digital tile decoration market in China is undergoing rapid growth. The innovative Xaar 1001, which has revolutionised the European ceramics industry, has naturally become the printhead of choice in the region due to its unrivalled reliability in harsh industrial environments,” says Bob Bobertz, General Manager, Xaar Asia Pacific.  “It’s essential that we give tile manufacturers in Asia the ability to work with a local ink supplier if they prefer; China Glaze, with its strong reputation as a major supplier of digital ceramic inks across Asia, is a significant addition to Xaar's Ink Partner Programme."

Today, ten major digital ceramic tile printer manufacturers rely on Xaar’s technology for their industrial strength printers. EFI Cretaprint, Hope, KERAjet, Intesa-Sacmi, Meijia, New King Time, Projecta SiTi B&T, Teckwin, TecnoFerrari and TSC have all chosen the Xaar 1001 (GS6 and GS12 variants). The Xaar 1001 family of printheads features Xaar's unique TF Technology which delivers unrivalled reliability, lowest maintenance requirements and outstanding print quality.

"This partnership with the world’s leading manufacturer of printheads for digital ceramic tile decoration is important,” says Lee Chien-Fa, Marketing Manager, China Glaze. “It means our customers who use Xaar-enabled printers will benefit from the support of a local and experienced ink supplier who can react quickly to their needs.”
