OCPC, a Consolidated Graphics, Inc. company, is pleased to announce that it is now certified as an ISO 9001:2008 compliant organization in the fields of Print Communications, Technology, Fulfillment and Distribution.
To become certified as ISO 9001:2008 compliant, OCPC underwent a one-year evaluation process that included quality management system development, a management system documentation review, pre-audit, initial assessment, and clearance of non-conformances, all of which work to identify corrective actions that eliminate non-conformance to the quality management standard. The process culminated in passing a comprehensive registration audit by PISO, the Printing Industries Association ISO accreditation body.
“OCPC now ranks among the few, elite manufacturing companies in Orange County that possess ISO certification,” said Tarek Korraa, President of OCPC. “ISO 9001:2008 certification represents a strong commitment to our customers, locally and nationally, that we are focused on delivering products and services of the highest quality. Companies with exacting processes, such as those in the medical, technology and defense industries, can readily employ our services, confident in knowing we are committed to exceptionally high standards.”
The ISO 9001:2008 standard provides a true and tested systematic framework for managing a company’s manufacturing processes. It identifies the steps that result in consistent performance and operational efficiency, ensuring consistent and error-free products are delivered to the end user, and specifies the source of issues when nonconformance occurs. The most important goal of ISO certification is continuous improvement through the use of internal and external audits and process documentation.
