Epic Litho, a premier printing and packaging service provider in the mid-Atlantic region, recently won two Best in Category awards, which is the highest honor awarded at the Premier Print Awards. At an awards ceremony in October, Epic Litho received two prestigious BENNY statues for its outstanding print work for AS IF magazine, a visually driven artisanal publication recently founded by photographer Tatijana Shoan, as well as a printed invitation for the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. The worldwide competition is hosted yearly by the Printing Industries of America, and consists of 109 categories that highlight the highest quality print projects, design concepts and creativity.
For Epic Litho’s work in AsIF magazine, the judges recognized the company’s attention to detail, and particularly the pristine bonding seen throughout the entire 172-page product, which was printed on a high-definition UV printing press. Epic Litho’s second award-winning project -an invitation for the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts – showcased the impressive 100# gloss cover achieved through its high definition UV printing press, as well as the additional colors that were made possible with the advanced printing technology.
This year marks the Printing Industries of America’s 63rd Annual Premier Print Awards. The award is the largest international graphic arts competition in the world with more than 2,800 entries. Only one company is acknowledged per category.
“We are honored to be recognized at the highest level in our competitive industry for our quality of printing, our design and our creativity,” said Jim Rowland, President of Epic Litho. “We pride ourselves on delivering world-class performance and service for clients each and every day. This acknowledgement from the Printing Industries of America further strengthens our ongoing commitment to achieving optimum results through high-quality printing techniques and designs.”
Epic Litho won six total awards at the 2012 International Premier Print Awards. In addition to its two Best in Category awards, the company also earned three Awards of Recognition, the second highest award of the competition, for its work on GMT’s product catalogue, its internal communications pieces for Dansko’s spring 2012 Image Book, and its self-promotional piece, “Magic Box.” Epic Litho was also awarded a Certificate of Merit for its 2011 Quarterly Calendar.
