Sir Speedy Printing and Marketing Services of Naperville, IL, a family business owned by Kent and Julie Phillips, celebrates its 27th anniversary this month.
The business opened its doors at 710 East Ogden Avenue in 1985. It served the community from that location for 20 years before relocating to its present location on nearby 5th Avenue.
Julie Phillips attributes the success and longevity of their business to a number of factors, including a willingness to change with the times and with technology. She also cites being active in the community and fully utilizing support from Sir Speedy’s corporate office as essential.
“A big milestone for us was re-launching our business 7 years ago with a digital focus,” said Phillips. “And just a few years later, we vastly expanded our offerings beyond printing to include a wide range of marketing services.
We never stop learning and evolving. We embrace the changes we see in the market and respond to our clients’ needs.”
One of the newer efforts from Sir Speedy Corporate that the Naperville firm hopes its customers utilize is the “Marketing Tango” blog. Any small- to mid-size business can learn from the educational posts, which cover a wide range of marketing tactics and their place in an integrated marketing strategy.
The blog, accessible at www.sirspeedy.com/centers/napervilleil060%20, exemplifies the customer service focus that Sir Speedy in Naperville has always made a priority, Phillips continued.
“In a rapidly changing community, getting stuck in a ‘comfort zone’ or a stubborn mindset would put us at risk of falling behind,” explained Phillips. “This wouldn’t allow us to uphold the standards of service our customers have come to expect from us. The local business community has supported us all of these years, and it’s important for us to maintain that mutual high regard.”
With such a mindset, Sir Speedy of Naperville looks forward to another 27 years of growing and evolving.
