Esko has announced the appointment of Christian Korte to the newly created position of Senior Vice President Sales. In this role Korte will oversee sales, marketing and service activities worldwide, with a focus on extending reach into new segments at existing customers and in adjacent markets.

Korte will take global responsibility for sales, marketing and services emphasizing solution selling to meet customer requirements for reduced time to market and consistent quality regardless of geographical location.

Formerly President of the Dairy Business Unit at German packaging specialist OYSTAR Holding, Korte was also Managing Director Consumer Division of German packaging group OPTIMA, where he began as a product manager. He brings deep industry knowledge to his new role, gained from years on the other side of the packaging development and procurement table.
