X-Rite's Redesigned i1Pro 2 Spectrophotometer Receives iF Award

X-Rite, Incorporated has announced that its redesigned i1Pro 2 spectrophotometer has received another international award – the 2013 iF Product Design Award. Redesigned in 2012, the new i1Pro 2 spectrophotometer is featured in X-Rite’s portfolio of i1 Professional Color Management Solutions.

For 60 years, the iF product design award has been an internationally highly recognized label for award-winning design and the iF brand has become a symbol for outstanding achievements in design. X-Rite’s i1Pro 2 spectrophotometer was selected for this highly sought-after award among 3,011 other product design entries from around the world. After winning the international red dot design award in 2012, this is the second prestigious industrial design award for the i1Pro 2.

The iF jury considered criteria such as design quality, finish, choice of materials, degree of innovation, environmental impact, functionality, ergonomics, visualization of intended use, safety, brand value and branding and aspects of universal design when selecting the winning products.

This award-winning device can be found in X-Rite’s i1Basic Pro 2, i1Photo Pro 2, and i1Publish Pro 2 products, all featuring groundbreaking new technology and applications. The i1Pro 2 second-generation spectrophotometer is the most accurate and forward thinking device available today accommodating three measurement modes in one single device. These modes include the most commonly used M0 (Standard Illuminant A), the emerging M1 (illuminant D50) and M2 (known as UV-cut).

The winner's certificate will be presented to X-Rite and formmodul during the iF design awards night at the "BMW Welt" museum in Munich, Germany, February 22, 2013 during the "Munich Creative Business Week". The i1Pro 2 will also be on display in the iF design exhibition parallel to the CeBit trade show (March 5 – 9, 2013) in Hannover, Germany and later in the iF design museum in the new harbor city in Hamburg.
