To manage the growing popularity of its ORIS product line, CGS has appointed former Océ manager Diego Diaz as Director of Technical Services for its North American operations. Heading CGS’ technical services team, Diaz will lead a new testing, competitive evaluation, and analysis initiative aimed at expanding the already-robust ORIS color management and workflow suite.
Diaz will also oversee day-to-day service, installation, and demonstration operations for CGS customers—ranging from commercial and in-plant printers to publishers and packaging service providers—using the unique ORIS approach to cross-fleet color management and workflow automation.
“We are excited to have Diego join the CGS team,” said CEO Trevor Haworth. “His background and strong drive to help companies perform at the top of their class, is a perfect fit with CGS’ commitment to our customers.”
Diaz previously worked for digital press manufacturer Océ, where he ran a color technical support team. He also created a self-funded color management team, bringing in professional service revenue that was more than double its employee cost. Before that, he brought a family-owned printing company from the verge of default to regional leader status in five years, through training employees in every aspect of the business. “By having greater knowledge and satisfaction in their work, employees felt they owned a piece of the business and were driven to help it succeed,” Diaz said.
Diaz will continue this proven model in CGS operations. “I’m really thrilled about working with CGS,” he said. “Our technical team is the best in the industry, and the products are second to none. I’m looking forward to helping CGS meet our customer needs and exceed their expectations with each support project so they can achieve the results they’ve been dreaming of.”
