GLS Companies announced they have acquired Next Communications, Inc. as part of their strategic offering to advance integrated, multi-channel marketing capabilities to select customers. Next Communications is a Minnetonka, Minnesota-based marketing communications firm founded in 1991. The company serves local, national and international clients.
“With the acquisition of Next Communications, GLS can now offer significantly enhanced, strategic marketing services to our customers, including digital and web solutions,” stated Jayme Wisely, President/COO of GLS. “We feel the additional capabilities of Next helps deliver our strategic evolution toward multi-channel engagement, one-to-one messaging and mass customization including on-demand, digital and database-driven solutions for our customers.”
GLS Companies is widely known for its broad capabilities in variable digital printing, sheet fed and web printing, as well as extensive direct mailing, distribution and fulfillment services. With more than 300 employees in their Brooklyn Park, MN headquarters and St. Paul, MN locations, their combined facilities produce $55 million in annual revenue.

Next Communications will be a wholly-owned subsidiary of GLS Companies and will continue to operate in their Minnetonka, MN location. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
