The spring meeting of the Automation Solutions Network is slated for May 2–3, 2013, at Tropicana Las Vegas, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The meeting will feature presentations and discussion on implementing workflow automation, along with tours of the impressive automation at the host facilities, Digital Lizard and Creel Printing.
The Automation Solutions Network is a special interest group within Printing Industries of America’s Center for Technology and Research that focuses on the development and practical implementation of workflow automation and cross-vendor integration. The network meets twice a year at different locations across the country with each meeting showcasing cutting-edge workflow automation based on open source technology.
The meeting is open to all printing companies looking to increase their level of automation, as well as suppliers of those systems.
Creel Printing is Las Vegas’s largest printer, featuring multiple printing platforms—heatset web, sheetfed offset, coldset, and digital capabilities—and a diverse bindery. Digital Lizard is one of the largest and most advanced digital print facilities in the United States. The company owns six HP Indigo presses, a complete line of finishing equipment, and recently added a complete line of large-format products.
