The U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) appointed Tommy Hunt Jr. as the Operations Manager for the Congressman Frank Evans Public Documents Distribution Center in Pueblo, Colorado. Employees at the center work with the General Services Administration's (GSA) Federal Consumer Information Center to process and distribute orders for consumer-related publications. The Pueblo distribution center opened for business in 1971, and since that time, has distributed nearly one billion publications worldwide. The center has a reputation for excellent customer service and consistently scores high on customer satisfaction surveys.
As Operations Manager, Hunt is responsible for nearly 40 employees and oversees the customer service and order fulfillment programs. Hunt has more than 25 years of experience in operations, logistics, and customer service management. He joined GPO's Pueblo distribution center as a Production Manager in 2011 and has served as the Acting Operations Manager since the position was vacated in 2012. Prior to GPO, Hunt held various management positions in the private sector at manufacturing and distribution companies that include: Vestas Towers Americas Inc. and Western Forge Inc. Hunt served in the United States Army where he received many honors including the Bronze Star for combat actions in Iraq. He served two tours of duty during the Iraq War. Hunt earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration & Management from Colorado Technical University.
