ASI's CEO Named One of Nation's Top Execs

The Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI) announced Chief Executive Officer and President, Timothy Andrews, has been selected by the ranking committee of ExecRank as one of the  top private company CEOs in the nation.

Andrews was named No. 174 on ExecRank’s 2012 list among major companies like AOL, T-Mobile and Bloomberg L.P. According to ExecRank, there are over 100,000 private company CEOs in the U.S., and only the very best are awarded the distinction of being included on ExecRank’s list of 400. The number-one area of focus for top private CEOs has been their ability to spread their company’s reputation for leadership and innovation in their industry. ExecRank also weighed heavily the recommendations provided by CFOs of its finalists.

The rankings are the result of two years of research and feedback from evaluation committees and top private company CEOs that yielded an algorithm for how to rank executives based on their performance in 24 key areas. According to Adam Navrozally, analyst for the rankings division of ExecRank, “The CEOs that made this list represent the best of the best in executive leadership.”

“The Cohn family, ASI and the advertising specialty industry should be proud and thrilled that Tim Andrews has been selected as one of the top chief executives in America,” said ASI Chairman of the Board Norman Cohn. “It is awesome to realize that ExecRank considered 100,000 private company CEOs, many from much larger companies, and after ranking their performance in 24 key areas over two years, determined Tim as one of the top 200. We already knew that Tim was the best, and we’re very happy the business world at large now knows it too.”

Andrews, who lives in Princeton, N.J., is a strategic-minded industry leader with nearly 30 years of experience in advertising, marketing, information services, publishing and media. He joined ASI as president in 2003 and is responsible for the vision and operations of the privately-held company. ASI is now No. 1 in the $19.4 billion promotional products industry in total distributors, research services, website solutions, show attendance and exhibitors, editorial awards, magazine and catalog circulation, education, credit information and trusted, transparent ratings.

Andrews is also president of The ASI Show and vice chairman of ASI Computer Systems, Inc. The ASI Show annually produces five large advertising specialty trade shows along with traveling Advantages Roadshows that visit nearly 50 cities in North America. ASI Computer Systems, Inc. is a provider of innovative accounting and systems software to the industry.
