Print providers turn to Xerox to achieve high-quality color applications while improving productivity and cutting costs. Consider these first-hand accounts from print service providers who are using both the Xerox iGen platform and the Xerox Color 1000 Press to:
Expand capabilities: Adams Direct & Media Services, based in East Hanover, NJ, uses the Xerox iGen4 Press to expand its offerings to non-profit, insurance, healthcare, pharmaceutical and retail clients. With the increased sheet size and image quality of the iGen4, the company can now produce new applications such as six-panel brochures.
“The press dramatically improved productivity, giving us the capability to increase output to 400,000 oversized prints per month,” said William James, president, Adams Direct & Media Services.
Exceed customer expectations: CRW, a full service commercial printing and communications company in Pennsauken, NJ, has built a new business venture around its iGen 150 called CRW Connect. The company uses the iGen 150 as the centerpiece press to produce full cross-media marketing.
“Digital printing technologies – especially the iGen 150 – have opened up opportunities and markets for our business,” said Mark Weiss, president, CRW. “The press’ 26-inch oversized sheet capability is a productivity boost while the quality matches that of our sheet-fed presses.”
Increase production: Marco Photo Service, located in Mansfield, Ohio, uses the Xerox Color 1000 Digital Press to augment their production of high-quality portraits. Marco is a wholesale printing company servicing independent companies in North America that specialize in high-volume school, youth sports and family photography. With the press Marco has increased its print volume while providing superior image quality.
“The up-time of the Xerox Color 1000 was one of the main reasons we chose to install it, because the more time the press is running, the more product we are getting out to our customers,” said Rick Casey, president, Marco Photo Service.
To bolster their photo application offerings, Marco will also install the Xerox 770 Digital Color Press to produce memory books, calendars and marketing collateral.
Grow business: Metzgers Printing and Mailing based in Toledo, OH, installed a second iGen4 with one goal in mind – to capture more business.
“The two presses give us a leg up on the competition,” said Joe Metzger, president, Metzgers. “We can meet precise color standards and offer unique applications such as highly personalized direct mail pieces, oversized postcards and brochures.”
Metzgers also uses the Xerox Nuvera 144 to complete personalized letter mailings as well as stack printing of instructional documents for various industries. “Nuvera’s ability to print on offset projects drives a lower price per piece for clients who mail large volumes of variable documents,” added Metzger. “The Nuvera’s black-and-white capabilities are an asset to our operations.”
Process jobs faster: Millennium Marketing, located in Annapolis Junction, MD, uses the Xerox iGen4 EXP Press – with matte dry ink – to produce brochures and personalized direct mail pieces. The press’ increased up-time – along with uDirect document personalization software by XMPie, A Xerox Company – help the company create variable data jobs faster and easier.
“We decided to expand our operations with the iGen4 EXP to give us what our customers want – speed, affordable pricing and outstanding image quality,” said Janice Tippett, president, Millennium Marketing. “You usually can’t get all three, but the iGen4 EXP offers us all that – and more.”
