HP announced that global customer Avery Dennison Retail Branding and Information Solutions (RBIS) has completed its largest deployment to date of HP Indigo Digital Presses, including the new HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press, in its premises across Asia.
“We value digital printing for its flexibility, speed and efficiency,” said Michael Johansen, Avery Dennison RBIS vice president and general manager, global sourcing regions and supply chain. “We are very pleased to have added new HP Indigo presses, including the HP Indigo 10000, to our capabilities, and expect to continue increasing our digital printing capacity going forward.”
The HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press, which offers increased efficiency and the ability to print B2 sheet size, is one of several new technologies introduced at drupa 2012 that HP has brought to market, and is already delivering real business benefits to customers in Asia and around the world.
In addition to the new HP Indigo 10000 presses, Avery Dennison’s latest investment in Asia Pacific also includes multiple HP Indigo WS6600 and HP Indigo 7600 Digital Presses. Consistent with its strategy of situating close to customers in key apparel manufacturing hubs, RBIS has installed many of the new presses in China as well as locations across Asia.
HP Indigo’s collaboration with Avery Dennison RBIS to provide consistent, high-quality and rapid-turnaround apparel branding solutions dates back to 2006. HP Indigo has worked closely with Avery Dennison RBIS to design comprehensive solutions for many of the world’s major apparel brands and retailers, and align press and workflow performance and capabilities with customer needs.
“Avery Dennison is an innovative customer and pioneer in HP Indigo digital production print,” said Alon Bar Shany, vice president and general manager, Indigo Division, HP. “As a global industry leader, Avery Dennison holds us to the highest standards of performance, reliability, consistency and service, and we work closely together to enable the company to better service its customers with the capabilities HP Indigo digital printing provides.”
“HP Indigo digital printing is being adopted by the world’s leading print providers, and transforming the way brands are marketing themselves. The consistent high-quality and the ability to turnaround short-run work quickly across multiple SKUs is delivering very compelling advantages to the industry,” continued Alon.
