W+D North America, the North American Sales and Service Company of W+D GmbH has entered into a partnership with Westford, MA based Ironsides Technology, a software development and integration firm that provides workflow automation and enterprise wide integrity tracking solutions across all production devices and processes.
Under terms of the agreement W+D will resell Ironsides Automatic Production Tracking (APT) technology for use on its mail inserting and production systems. APT is a scalable and open architecture software solution that is designed to optimize productivity and document integrity for print and mail operations of all sizes. Bill Riley, President of Ironsides, states, “APT is a simple and effective solution that will allow W+D’s new and existing customers to have a real-time status of all jobs and pieces in the production process. Riley adds, “The true strength of our system is that we truly are device agnostic, we seamlessly integrate into any piece of mailing, printing, and fulfillment equipment regardless of the manufacturer.”
Shaun Kilfoyle, President of W+D North America, comments, “Ironsides APT is a very innovative technology. With real-time visualization into production, operators will maximize their productivity and better ensure piece level integrity.” Kilfoyle adds, “By incorporating APT Technology on W+D and other production platforms our customers will have maximum flexibility and will improve their profitability and productivity by reducing production delays and overhead cost. We are thrilled to be partnering with Ironsides and look forward to demonstrating their APT technology live on our booth at Print 2013 in September.”
Print 2013, North America’s largest industry trade show, is scheduled for September 8th to 12th at McCormick place in Chicago. W+D will be located in booth #3922 at the show.
