The 2013 Color Management Conference will offer attendees the opportunity to get up-to-date on the very latest developments in ISO standards from the Chairman of the Committee for Graphic Arts Standards (CGATS), Ray Cheydleur, OEM Technical Manager, X-Rite.
Cheydleur’s session, “The Latest Scoop on ISO 12647 and 15339,” will delve into the latest developments in the ISO 12647 and new ISO 15339 digital printing-focused standards. Attendees will learn about ANSI-CGATS 21-1:2013, the part of CGATS 21 that establishes principles for the use of color characterization data as the definition of the intended relationship between input data and printed color for copy preparation, job assembly, proofing, and graphic arts production printing.
Cheydleur will also deliver “Deep Dive: Measurement Tolerances and How M0, M1, M2, M3 Come into Play.” This session will take an in-depth look at measurement tolerances and explain the measurement modes M0, M1, M2, and M3 as defined in ISO 13655:2009. These measurement modes were created in accordance with ISO 13655, which defines the needs for spectral measurement equipment for the graphic arts industry.

The seven Reference Printing Conditions proposed in ISO 15339—and now an official ANSI/CGATS Standard—are all G7-based but all have different color gamuts.
