Visual Magnetics Enters Three Products for 2013 SGIA Product of the Year

Five-time product of the year winner Visual Magnetics has announced submissions in two SGIA Product of the Year award categories. This is the second time the materials innovation company has entered three products in two separate categories. The competition will be held at this year’s SGIA Expo in Orlando, which runs from October 23-25.

Two of Visual Magnetics’ new products have been entered in the media category – VMECOten and VM-Walnut12. VM-ECOten is a pioneering magnetic receptive cellulose based substrate and is the latest addition to the MagnaMedia Specialties Collection. With a 10 mil, 100% FSC and GREENGUARD Gold certified cellulose base with durable resin finish, magnetic receptive reverse surface and an ultra-smooth semi-matte print surface, VM-ECOten provides a natural white print surface made from sustainable forestry practices. VM-Walnut12 is a stunning wood-grain finish veneer also made from a 100% FSC certified cellulose base. The product is dye sublimation printed with a walnut wood grain pattern then encapsulated in a durable resin finish and is the latest addition to the MagnaMedia Veneer Collection. Both products are ideal for producing high-resolution photo and artwork reproductions, wall murals and POP signage.

Visual Magnetics has also entered an existing product into the finishing category. VMActiveWall is a commercial grade, water-based Micro-Iron Latex Primer used to activate wall surfaces that will later be fitted with Visual Magnetics’ InvisiLock magnet. The primer's microiron content is designed specifically for use in dynamic wall space applications that use Visual Magnetics Graphic System. The InvisiLock magnet attracts to the ActiveWall primer, allowing MagnaMedia graphics to be layered and quickly changed without damaging wall surfaces.

“We are proud to be submitting three products into this year’s SGIA Expo alongside so many other innovative material and print products. We have been attending the SGIA Expo since 2010 and we are looking forward to exhibiting again this year,” said Visual Magnetics CEO and President Joe Deetz. “Look to see upcoming retail and visual trends from our booth, including magnetic receptive 3D fixturing and live transformations of the entire booth front.”

Visual Magnetics will be exhibiting at booth #1412 at the 2013 SGIA Expo and at SGIA’s  virtual Trade Show. They will also be holding an interactive contest at the booth— SGIA Expo attendees who capture and share an image to Instagram of collages made at the booth using Visual Magnetics products will be entered to win a GoPro camera.
