Eye-catching decorative holography solutions win at industry awards

An automotive holographic application, DVD sleeve packaging, and a calendar and magazine insert took the top spots in the Best Applied Decorative Product Award at the International Hologram Manufacturers Association’s (IHMA) Excellence in Holography Awards 2013 in Delhi (NCR), India.

NovaVision Inc, Vacumet Corp and Angell-Demmel North America’s Nissan LEAF holographic kick plate was the overall category winner with the two other applications commended.

Hazen Paper Company impressed with its ‘dazzling’ Envirofoil transfer metalized and recyclable paper calendar and magazine insert while a DVD cover sleeve for ‘The Little Mermaid’ produced by Agi-Shorewood, Metal Magic and Hazen was also highly praised - the package features a hologram special effect which mimics a ‘water glare’ over the entire cover of the o-sleeve

Organised by the IHMA, the annual Excellence in Holography Awards recognise outstanding achievement and reward those who have been at the forefront of the industry, pioneering innovative or new hologram products or techniques, as well as the best use of holograms in a commercial context.

A display of products and applications featured at the event, showcasing the diverse security, anti-counterfeiting and packaging benefits provided by cutting-edge holographic technologies.
