At Clemson University the students learn how to create a four color separation with SoftRIP SP.
With SoftRIP SP, the students have a number of halftone methods to choose from.
With an emphasis on hands-on learning, the students are able to farmiliarize themselves with all steps of the printing process.
At Clemson University, students take their first step into the printing industry using Wasatch SoftRIP. For 10 years, Wasatch has helped the students learn many different facets of the industry including lithography, flexography, dye sublimation, and primarily screen printing.
By incorporating Wasatch SoftRIP into the curriculum, the Department of Graphic Communications at Clemson University was able to expand their program, particularly in screen production. With much of the focus being hands-on learning, the students get to experience and learn
SoftRIP SP’s intuitive workflow, color tools, and exclusive Precision Stochastic Screens. Students will find SoftRIP's easy-to-use controls and innovative tools necessary when creating their first film positive for four color separations. With a number of halftone methods to choose from, a Separations mode that automatically detects spot and process separations, overprint support, and a multitude of operator controls, SoftRIP SP provides the students with all the controls they need.
More Tools, More Control
SoftRIP's streamlined user interface, innovative halftone methods, and customizable features are important to the students and to the success of the Department of Graphic Communications. With these easy-to-use features, the students are able to familiarize themselves with calibrating and the linearizing process. Using the Press Curves controls, the students can linearize film positives or convert negative linearization for the flexography processes.
With SoftRIP's powerful color separation workflow, the students create screen printed t-shirts with ease. As students advance in their curriculum, SoftRIP provides all the controls they need to apply their expertise. "Our students work with different types of workflow software and Wasatch SoftRIP is not only intuitive but produces reliable results every time," says Patrick Rose, Senior Lecturer. "We appreciate Wasatch supporting us for so many years."
