Spinnaker Coating Now Offers Wide-Format Products through Avery Dennison Graphics Agreement

Spinnaker Coating, LLC has announced that it has entered into a  distribution agreement with Avery Dennison Graphics, which grants it the right to sell Avery Graphics brand wide-format products to select merchants in the US and Canada.  In tandem with the popularity of the general digital print market, the use of wide format graphic products for digital printing has also seen an upward trend in sales growth.  “The versatility of these products is what makes them so appealing,” said Kevin Ahlfeld, Vice President of Spinnaker’s Merchant Business.  “The quality of the graphics achieved from wide format printers is amazing, and because they are produced in such large sizes, the effect is even more impressive,” he added.

Wide-format products are sold in small rolls, typically around 54-inches by 50 yards, and are used for applications such as: vehicle graphics; floor, wall, and window graphics; banners; point of purchase displays; outdoor signage; and tradeshow exhibits.  Spinnaker Coating has initial inventory consisting of 24 of the highest-moving digital media products; the balance of Avery’s digital wide-format portfolio is available for drop-shipment from Avery through Spinnaker.

“Adding wide-format items to our existing line of offset and digital full sheet and die cut products really enhances our capabilities, and strengths our position of being a valuable supplier to our merchant customers and commercial printers,” said Ahlfeld. “The agreement combines Avery’s brand recognition and technical support with Spinnaker’s industry-leading customer service.”

“This distribution agreement with Spinnaker is a natural fit,” said Deborah Weber, North American Distribution Sales Manager, Graphics and Reflective Solutions at Avery Dennison.  “They have established wonderful relationships with the merchant base across the country and that allows for easier distribution of this product to those customers.  We are thrilled to have them as partners with us in this exciting and growing market,” added Weber.

In 2012, Spinnaker acquired a license from Avery Dennison Graphics to manufacture and sell its Crack ’n Peel and FasTrack brands of pressure sensitive sheet products in the US and Canada.
