IQDEMY Showcases UV LED Printing at D-PES

IQDEMY will partake at D-PES Sign Expo China in Guangzhou (February 21-24, 2014). More than 650 exhibitors are expected at the Poly World Trade Center Expo where IQDEMY shows the SWS Maglev as well as the IQDEMY ibis-2 among others to the more than 60,000 visitors.

IQDEMY ibis-2, the eight-colour (CMYKWWVV) UV LED printer featuring a flatbed accommodating a maximum media size of 320 x 420 mm enables high quality photographic printing on various substrates such as glass, ceramics, plastics, wood and many more. Its high resolution of up to 2,880 x 1,440dpi and two additional white colour slots as well as two slots for varnish enable haptic printing on flat or textured media thus producing exciting and highly thrilling images on many surfaces. Ink consumption is about 10-12 ml/sqm whereby ink tank capacity per colour is 1000 ml and a print speed of about 61 sec for an A4-size item (at 1,440dpi) is achieved. The IQDEMY ibis-2 is ideal for print service providers wanting to enhance different products such as notebook cases, mobile phones, a variety of souvenirs or tiles.

In addition the SWS Maglev featuring the company’s unique magnetic levitation technology will be on display. Equipped with a vaccuum table and ink recirculation system and an advanced automatic material positioning system able to automatically detect material size and thickness and many more advanced features, the very large format flatbed printer enables printing on rigid, optionally flexible media with resolutions of up to 1,440dpi. Able to print on any substrate – from aluminum, Styrofoam, wood, marble, stone to temperature sensible films and foils thanks to IQDEMY’s environmentally friendly UV LED technology – the SWS Maglev produces overwhelmingly beautiful images. The award winning large format printer features 7 colour printing (CMYKLcLmW) with optionally varnish as 8th colour, bidrectional printing and speeds of up to 150 sqm. It employs the latest Ricoh Gen5 printheads and is available in different configurations.
