Representatives from International Print Inc. in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia announce the launch of the new website and opening of registration for International Print Day 14: A 24-Hour Global Virtual Conference on October 8, 2014.
The International Print Day initiative began through social media during October 2013 in response to the desire of the global print community to have one conference that everyone could attend, no matter where they live.
“PrintMediaCentr’s weekly Twitter #printchat, 4PM Eastern Time every Wednesday, already hosts the global print community conversations where they share ideas, questions, answers, knowledge and information about their business, products and services from wherever they may be,” said Deborah Corn, one of the conference organizers and host of the weekly chat. “While we keep #printchat on the conversational level, expanding the concept to a yearly virtual event open to the global print and integrated marketing community, and incorporating the service providers and educators who help us all do our jobs, is a pivotal progression for our industry and I’m honored to be part of it.”
The content for this conference is being developed for the community by the community, with the mission to provide attendees access to relevant and topical information and education, and to enable smaller companies the ability to share their products and services alongside the big players on a global scale.
“To the International Trade Shows and Industry Organizations out there -- we need your support and want to include you in the conference at the top level,” said Corn. “Too often the word “competition” gets in the way of open knowledge sharing. We are hoping that for one day a year we can all get together and help each other for the bigger picture of print, the community and the industry.”
