CEMUSA Earns the Ad Council's Crystal Bell Award

CEMUSA received the Ad Council’s Crystal Bell Award at the 2014 TAB/OAAA Out of Home Media Conference & Marketing Expo. Every year the award is presented to one out of home advertising company that exemplifies exceptional generosity and leadership in disseminating Ad Council public service messages.

The Ad Council, a national non-profit organization, is the largest producer of public service advertising (PSAs) in the United States. Through partnerships with non-profit organizations and federal government agencies, the Ad Council works to stimulate action on public issues through PSAs and innovative communications programs. All Ad Council PSAs are aired and run in donated time and space.

The Crystal Bell Award was presented to CEMUSA for its commitment to community well-being and Ad Council PSAs by donating out of home advertising space, including bus shelters and newsstands in the New York City market. When CEMUSA constructed new large-format newsstands throughout the city, the Ad Council’s campaigns were among the first to be featured in the space.

“Our target audiences across the country would not have access to the Ad Council’s public service campaign messages without the generosity of the outdoor media,” said Peggy Conlon, President and CEO, the Ad Council, “CEMUSA’s support of a number of critical education and safety messages last year has helped make a significant impact in improving awareness of these causes, and they are highly deserving of this award.”

CEMUSA has supported for a variety of social issues including Community Engagement, Emergency Preparedness, Supporting Minority Education and the New York City Truancy campaign.
