The Bureau of Engraving, Inc., out of Minneapolis, MN has completed the sale of its printing division “The Bureau” to Vomela Specialty Company of St. Paul, MN. This operation will continue under the name “The Bureau” and will function as a division of Vomela Specialty Company. Lynne Alexander, CEO and Chairman of Bureau of Engraving, Inc. stated, “We are very pleased that we found a great partner to continue The Bureau’s long tradition of taking care of customers’ needs.”
Bureau of Engraving, Inc. will continue to operate its distance art education business, Art Instruction Schools under the direction of President Patrick Stuart. “We are excited about the future of our school. We have a lot of changes in store for our program and can’t wait to bring these to our students.” Art Instruction Schools is celebrating its 100 year anniversary this year. Over the last 100 years, we have taught over a million students.
Art Instruction Schools teaches art education at a distance, mailing students their lessons and working one on one with the students with degreed art instructors over the phone and internet. The 27 lesson, accredited “Fundamentals of Art” program covers all the basics of creating art. The course is a college level program designed for people ages 13 on up. Upon completion of the program, American Council on Education (ACE) CREDIT service has recommended up to 24 semester college credits for our graduates.
