PRIMIR has announced its Summer Meeting will focus on 'print's evolution.' Slated for July 21-23, 2014 in Cleveland, Ohio, the meeting features a number of presentations and discussions about how the printing industry is evolving.
Packed with data and content, the PRIMIR 2014 Summer Meeting program features findings from two new PRIMIR studies. The first, "Print Applications: Revenues, Processes and Run Lengths in Commercial Printing," will showcase Mark Hanley, President of I.T. Strategies, who conducted the research. This study investigates key trends and drivers behind changes in run lengths and print process by end-use application for commercial printers. It evaluates average run lengths, number of colors, substrates, and other factors that might favor one process over another technology, while at the same time accommodating the needs of the customer.
In another PRIMIR study presentation, "Tag & Label Printing Trends," Jennifer Dochstader and David Walsh, Founding Partners of LPC, who conducted the PRIMIR research, will share key findings and implications for the PRIMIR members.
During a panel discussion, "The Evolving Print Firm," three local printing executives will share where their companies are heading and how they envision the print industry of the future. Also, in an opportunity-focused session, Don Carli, President of Nima-Hunter will inform PRIMIR attendees about new market opportunities in "Functional Printing, Printed Electronics, Active/Intelligent Packaging & Sustainability."
Other highlights of the meeting include a VIP tour of local package printing establishment, Tap Packaging Solutions. Finally, a signature component of each PRIMIR meeting is time allotted for members to take part in roundtable discussions and weigh in on current and future PRIMIR research studies. In Cleveland, attendees will discuss a wide range of new topics including: flexography, direct mail, industry consolidation, wide-format printing, books, and global food packaging.
Access to a diverse network is a key benefit of PRIMIR membership; each meeting is conducted in a dynamic interactive forum with industry managers and experts from across the graphic communications industry.
